The purpose of the Baylor University Summer Science Research Program (BUSSRP) is to give superior students hands-on research experience by working on research projects with Baylor University science professors in many disciplines. The research program occurs during the University’s second session of summer school.

Students are selected from incoming Baylor freshmen to be involved in this summer research program, that allows them to earn one semester hour of college credit. It is hoped that this experience will have a positive effect on student interest in careers in science disciplines and allow them to begin a program of undergraduate research.
