Alabama Softball Has 13 Named 2013 NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky.– The Alabama softball team had 13 players out of its 19-person roster named 2013 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athletes, the organization announced.

Representing Alabama were Jackey Branham, Courtney Conley, Keima Davis, Molly Fichtner, Andrea Hawkins, Ryan Iamurri, Leona Lafaele, Haylie McCleney, Jordan Patterson, Danielle Richard, Lauren Sewell, Jadyn Spencer and Jackie Traina.

“It is so rewarding as a coach to see our student-athletes excel not only on the field but in the classroom,” Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy said. “The number one reason they are here is to get a degree from The University of Alabama. Softball is second.”
