CAA SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Kelsey Hodgson • College of Charleston
Woodstock, Ga./Etowah, Sr., Third Baseman

Hodgson earned CAA Softball Player of the Week accolades after an impressive three-game weekend as she led the Cougars at the plate batting .800 (8-for-10) against UNCW. The senior infielder sailed four home runs over the outfield fence and doubled for a 2.100 slugging percentage.  Hodgson finished the week with seven RBI, five runs scored and a 1.000 fielding percentage. She also helped the Cougar offense with eight assists and one putout.

CAA SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
Jailyn Ford • James Madison
Hot Springs, Va./Bath County, So., Pitcher/Infielder

Ford received CAA Pitcher of the Week honors for the fourth time this season as she posted a 1-0 mark and a save in the circle with a victory over ACC foe North Carolina.  The sophomore appeared in both outings of the week in relief, while pitching 9.0 innings in her two outings. She posted a perfect ERA (0.00) on the week. Ford fanned 16 batters, including 11 in the second game of the doubleheader, and did not walk any Tar Heel Batters. Ford’s victory over UNC was her 17th of the season – tying her for third most wins in a season.

CAA SOFTBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Michaela Transue • Hofstra
Chenango, N.Y./Chenango, Fr., Third Baseman

Transue was named CAA Softball Rookie of the Week after helping the Pride to a win over nationally-ranked LSU and a sweep of Delaware in conference action. The freshman infielder came into the week with just one RBI, but hit. 333 with two home runs, two doubles, scored four runs and added seven RBI. She finished the week with a .867 slugging percentage. Transue hit homers in each end of a doubleheader against #24 LSU, including a three-run shot in the sixth inning, helping the Pride to a 5-3 victory.  Transue also handed all 16 defensive chances at third base.
