FPN NCAA DII National Softball Players of the Week 3-14-2017

Fastpitch News has released its March 13, 2017, Softball Players of the week awards for NCAA DII. All nominations will be considered and are due each Monday by 3:00 pm eastern time. Please submit to rankings@fastpitchnews.com for review.

Player of the Week

Kalyn Malveaux was sharp at the plate going 6-8 resulting in a .750 batting average over three games this past week. Malveaux made the most out of her at-bats hitting two home runs and knocking in seven runs. She also scored five runs as part of her impressive performance.

Pitcher of the Week

Coley Ries Went 3-0 last week with a 0.00 era. Ries has won her last six games and is 9-1 on the season. In those three wins she posted 33 total strikeouts including 17 vs. Wilmington and 12 vs. Northwood. Ries recorded shutout wins over Wilmington and Holy Family. She has totaled five shutouts this season.
