Player of the Week
Hannah Mehrle
Washington University St. Louis
Senior outfielder Hannah Mehrle battled .485 (13-33) with 14 runs scored and 14 RBIs in the Bears eight games a week ago. Mehrle recorded multi-hit games in six of eight for the week and recorded five extra-base hits including one round-tripper. She went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored in a 12-0 win over Western Connecticut Monday, and then was 3-for-5 with two runs scored, two doubles and four RBIs in a 15-5 victory over Emory & Henry on Tuesday. Mehrle was not done yet as she was 3-for-5 with a double, triple, home run, four runs score and a career-high five RBIs in a 13-3 win over Smith on Wednesday. She added five hits in eight at-bats with four runs scored and two RBIs in a doubleheader sweep at Monmouth Sunday.

Kayli Paugh
Hood College
Kayli Paugh went 3-0 and allowed just one run over 23 innings of work for a 0.39 ERA. Paugh allowed just nine total hits, struck out 32 batters, walked five batters and held them to a .122 batting average. The junior had three complete games and two shutouts, including a nine-inning shutout against Bethany. In the 1-0 nine-inning win over Bethany, Paugh allowed just four hits, walked none and struck out 12 in nine innings of work. Paugh also struck out 12 batters and allowed just three hits in a 9-1 win over Marywood. In a 2-0 win over Lawrence, Paugh struck out eight batters, allowed just two hits and walked only two batters.
