COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Softball has announced the addition of Alora Marble to the team’s roster. The senior last played for Southeast Missouri for two seasons (2011-12) before ending her career as a Redhawk and transferring to the University of Missouri. Marble did not play softball in the 2013 season while studying on Mizzou’s campus and becomes eligible immediately for the 2014 campaign.

A native of Jefferson City, Mo., Marble took on starting pitcher duties as a freshman for SEMO in 2011 and posted an 18-8 record with a 2.99 ERA. She tossed a team-high 12 complete games, including two shutouts. Marble totaled 159.1 innings of work, amassing 97 strikeouts and holding opposing batters to a .267 average. She earned Ohio Valley Conference All-Tournament Team recognition to close her first season of competition.

Marble doubled her complete game count (24) as a sophomore in 2012, recording a 15-15 mark with a 2.64 ERA. She pitched 206.2 innings over 38 appearances and 31 starts. She fanned 102 batters and allowed 49 walks to hold her opponents to a .266 batting average.

Marble was a three-time all-state selection while at Blair Oaks High School and finished her career with a school-record 421 strikeouts. She helped Blair Oaks to the school’s first state championship as a senior with a 22-6 record and 0.85 ERA.
