COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Softball has announced its annual fall schedule of home contests, with all four dates consisting of Friday double-headers beginning on Sept. 20 at University Field. Each Friday features start times of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Missouri begins with Columbia College and Heartland Community College (Normal, Ill.) on Friday, Sept. 20, before taking on North Central Missouri College and Lake Land College (Mattoon, Ill.) on Friday, Sept. 27.

Mizzou continues with Crowder College and Butler Community College (El Dorado, Kan.) on Friday, Oct. 4. Earleywine’s squad closes its fall schedule with Jefferson College and Highland Community College (Highland, Kan.) on Friday, Oct. 11.

The Tigers enter the fall season coming off the program’s sixth-straight NCAA Super Regional appearance. Mizzou posted a 38-14 overall record in 2013 with a runner-up trophy at the Southeastern Conference Softball Tournament and third-place regular season showing.

Mizzou returns 11 players from last season’s team, including senior OF Mackenzie Sykes (Blue Springs, Mo.) and junior 1B Kelsea Roth (Yorba Linda, Calif.). Sykes batted .319 with seven home runs, while Roth hit 16 home runs to tie outgoing senior Nicole Hudson for the team lead. Other key contributors from last season’s sophomore class include SS Corrin Genovese (East Amherst, N.Y.), OF Kayla Kingsley (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and 3B Angela Randazzo (Poway, Calif.). Current sophomore 2B Emily Crane (Troy, Mo.) led the Tigers with a .376 batting average.

The Tigers welcome eight new faces, including now-eligible transfers Sami Fagan (Dunnellon, Fla.) and Alora Marble (Jefferson City, Mo.). The six-player freshman class features high school All-American pitchers Tori Finucane (Germantown, M.D.) and Casey Stangel (Coeur d’Alene, Idaho), along with IF/OF Natalie Fleming (Silex, Mo.), catcher Kirsten Mack (Riverside, Calif.), IF/OF Kelli Schkade (Albany, Texas) and P/IF Jordan Zolman (Arbyrd, Mo.).

Admission to fall games is free of charge. Mizzou’s opponents will play a third game at 6 p.m. each Friday.
