Oklahoma’s Keilani Ricketts was named the winner of the 2013 Honda Cup, given to the nation’s top female collegiate athlete by the Collegiate Women’s Sports Awards.
The two-time winner of the Honda Sports Award for softball, Ricketts beat out 11 Honda Sports Award winners, including Elena Delle Donne, women’s basketball player from Delaware, and Kimberlyn Duncan, track and field athlete from LSU.
Ricketts becomes the first Sooner to win the Honda Cup and the third in softball, joining UCLA’s Natasha Watley (2003) and Lisa Fernandez (1993).
