Stockton, Calif. – Pacific Softball announced its fall schedule today, including the team’s annual fall tournament as well as two exhibitions games and a combined Baseball and Softball alumni event taking place during the month of October.
The Tigers, who last year finished .500 at 28-28, including 12-12 in the last year of Big West play, will join the West Coast Conference in the spring of 2014.
Preparation for the 2014 season will begin with the Pacific Fall Tournament. The tournament, held October 6th and 7th, features a round robin format in which each team plays four games over the two day event. The competition at Stockton’s Arnaiz Park will also include squads from Cal, Sacramento State, Nevada, San Jose State, Chico State and UC Santa Barbara.
Pacific will also hold a series of scrimmages against Central Valley-based teams.
On October 11th, Pacific will face Sacramento City College at Bill Simoni Field at 5pm. Another scrimmage against Cal State Stainslaus will occur October 25th. The exhibition will begin at 4:15pm on Bill Simoni Field.
Pacific will wrap up the fall slate with an alumni event on October 26th. The event, which will start at 4pm on Klein Family Field, will bring the alumni of Pacific’s baseball and softball programs together with the current teams for a slow pitch softball game and barbecue.
