Texas A&M Announces Fall Softball Schedule

COLLEGE STATION – Head coach Jo Evans announced Texas A&M Softball’s fall schedule, which features four doubleheaders and the Maroon & White Series at the Aggie Softball Complex with free admission beginning October 25.

The Aggies begin the fall slate with a pair of games against National Pro Fastpitch club, USSSA Florida Pride, on October 25 with game one scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

Two days later, Texas A&M hosts Blinn College with games scheduled for 4 p.m and 6 p.m. The following week on November 2, the Aggies host McLennan CC for a doubleheader at 4 p.m.

On November 5, the Aggies welcome the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks for two games, beginning at noon.

Texas A&M closes out the fall season with the annual Maroon and White Series. The best-of-5 intra-squad scrimmage begins on November 14 and continues through November 18, if necessary.

“I am really looking forward to our games against the Pride. I think that is going to be a lot of fun,” Evans said. “We will only have had a week of team practices, so hopefully we can get ourselves ready to go. I am excited about competing against professional players.

“As far as the rest of the fall season goes, we are playing against some quality opponents. I think it is going to be good to challenge our young players. We will use the fall season to get a good look at our newcomers and try to get a feel for where we are and where we need to focus in the offseason. The team looks good and I am excited about our team. We are still young, but we are starting to get experience. It is going to be a great fall. I think we have a ball club that we can make a run at an SEC Championship this year. We are excited about that and I know our fans are too.”

All games can be heard locally on KWBC 1550 AM or online at www.12thMan.com.
