Our clinics are designed for the player and led by two-time NPF Champion and All-American pitcher Sara Moulton and first-team All-Big Ten and two-time NFCA All-Region selection Sam Macken.
Players will walk away with a better knowledge of who they are as a player and the tools they need to grow.
Sara has a wealth of softball experience as both an amateur and professional. While at the University of Minnesota, Moulton set numerous school records and received All-Conference and All-American awards. As a professional, she recently helped the Chicago Bandits win their second straight professional fastpitch championship. Moulton is the co-owner of Strike Zone Sports in Eagan, MN and has been a weekly contributor to Fastpitch News during her summer professional season.
Our clinics are designed for the player. Players will walk away with a better knowledge of who they are as a player and the tools they need to grow. The goal is simple; learn, improve and execute.
Sam attended Rochester Lourdes High School where she graduated in 2013. A Minnesota native, she attended the University of Minnesota, Twins Cities, where she lettered four years and started both infield and outfield. She was awarded 3 Academic All B1G Ten Honors, was a 2-Time Distinguished Scholar, received both 1st and 2nd Team All B1G Ten honors and was a 2-Time NFCA All-Region selection.
What is Core Softball?
Foundation: a basis (such as a tenet, principle, or axiom) upon which something stands or is supported.
Often times we get hung up on what is new or what others are doing. The problem is that all too often the foundation gets overlooked. At Core softball, we believe that 90% of a players success lies within their mastery of the core skills needed to perform at a high level no matter what position you play or what type of hitter you are. Our goal is to focus on these Core Skills and give them the tools they need to master those skills. Advanced techniques can be great, but are ineffective when you are dealing with a weak foundation.
