RIGHT FIELD - I remember way back in the day playing Little League baseball and Right Field being the position you put your weakest player in...this, to me, is one of the critical positions in softball. Right Field is such an important role in backing up throws to first on infield hits, on pickoff attempts on a runner at first, on dropped third strike situations and backing up hits to center field. Not to mention the hits to right field and many foul balls on late hitters! A fast player who knows the play in Right Field is critical to strong teams!
