The high school softball season has already made its dash out of the box, and as it’s been the last couple season, Washington appears to be the team everyone is chasing.
The two-time defending state champions graduated their top player from a year ago in Iowa State pitcher Katie Johnson, but with a lineup capable of putting a bevy of crooked numbers on the scoreboard, the top-ranked Warriors (8-2 this season) have the edge on their challengers.
