In the Circle: Rachel Lawson talks 2018 Kentucky and NCAA Rule Changes

On this edition of In The Circle, the guys talk with Kentucky Head Coach Rachel Lawson. Lawson who is entering her 11th season as Head Coach of the Wildcats talks about the outlook for the upcoming 2018 season coming off a 2017 season where Kentucky went 39-19 and made it back to the Super Regionals for the 5th time during the Lawson era.

Lawson discusses developing young pitchers which she will be doing once again in 2018 as Kentucky will have to find a replacement for ace Meagan Prince who led the Wildcats in 2017 going 21-9 with a 2.00 ERA.  Lawson breaks down the returning staff as well as rest of team. The Wildcats will be led by returning All-American shortstop Katie Reed.

Coach also talks about how the support of the administration as it relates to the softball facilities has helped her build a successful program.

Lawson also breaks down the new NCAA rules that will be in place in for the 2018 season and how it will impact the game as well as if she was in charge of the sport what she would change?
