The wildest off-season on record continues on this special edition of In The Circle as we discuss ULL’s firing of Head Coach Michael Lotief after he was placed on administrative leave. We discuss what got us to this point. The University said it received student complaints about violent, vulgar language and verbal and physical assault by Coach Lotief. All of this happened since Lotief was placed on administrative leave for an argument that occurred when Lotief questioned gender equity at the school. We will share parts of his press conference by way of KATC Channel 2 with comments from Coach and his attorneys. (For more on the first part of the story listen here)
We’re then joined by the producer Clint Domingue of Lafayette’s 103.7 The Game. Domingue shares what the reaction in Lafayette has been over the stunning firing and what happens next.
We also check in with Justin McLeod from Justin’s World of Softball for his thoughts on a possible replacement for the 2018 season and the ramifications of this move.
