• Led the conference with a .632 batting average, 1.474 slugging percentage, 12 hits and five home runs in a 5-0 season-opening weekend for the Huskers
• Recorded a hit in all five games, including four multi-hit outings
• Tallied four games with home runs and multiple RBI, including a game-winning three-run homer in the eighth inning against Northern Iowa
• Added an RBI double in the final win of the weekend over Saint Louis
• The 2014-15 Academic All-Big Ten selection claims her first Player of the Week award

Pitcher of the Week
Cassie McClure, Nebraska
Jr., RHP, Kingwood, Texas/Kingwood
• Had a hand in four of Nebraska’s five victories in the opening weekend, going 2-0 with a pair of saves
• Maintained a 0.00 ERA, never allowing more than two hits in a game and tossing 12.0 shutout innings
• Recorded the first shutout of her career, striking out 10 batters and allowing only one hit in a complete-game win over Green Bay
• Earned a win in relief against Norther Iowa, pitching 3.0 scoreless innings and limiting batters to one hit
• Wins her first Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honor

Freshman of the Week
Lauren Stewart, Purdue
OF, Alpharetta, Ga./Cambridge
• Drove in a team-leading seven RBI and scored six runs, while batting .400 in her first collegiate weekend
• Recorded at least one hit in each game, including a grand slam against Nebraska-Omaha
• Was successful in two stolen-base attempts and drew a pair of walks
• Earns her first weekly honor
