FPN NCAA DII Softball Players of the Week 4-25-2017

Fastpitch News has released its April 25, 2017, NCAA DII Players of the week awards. All nominations will be considered and are due each Monday by 3:00 pm eastern time. Please submit to rankings@fastpitchnews.com for review.

Nicki Sprague

Azusa Pacific
Sprague did her job at the plate this past week driving in 10 runs going 8-for-17 with a .571 batting average on the week. She also scored five runs and hit two doubles.

Coley Ries

Minnesota State Mankato
Ries did something rare, she threw back-to-back perfect games and a shutout this past week. On the week she did throw three games going 3-0 and only allowing two hits and no earned runs, in the non-perfect game. She posted 44 strikeouts to just two walks on the week. Against Moorhead State, she faced 21 batters and had 18 strikeouts. In the game against Northern State, she faced 21 also striking out 15.
