FPN NCAA DIII Softball Players of the Week 4-4-2017

Fastpitch News has released its April 4, 2017, NCAA DIII Players of the week awards. All nominations will be considered and are due each Monday by 3:00 pm eastern time. Please submit to rankings@fastpitchnews.com for review.
Kaitlyn Aherron
Averett University
Aherron is coming off a strong week at the plate, batting .588 over six games. The Alton Va. native also nearly hit for a home run cycle hitting a solo shot, a three-run home run and a grand slam. She produced 17 RBI, scored nine runs and was 5-for-5 on steals. For the week she ended with 22 Total Bases, a 1.294 slugging percentage and a .708 on-base. 5-5 Stolen Bases.
Shannon Powell
Salisbury University
Powell went 3-0 with a 1.17 ERA this week, starting three games and going the distance twice. The only non-complete game was a contest in which she went four innings and was lifted with the five-inning victory in hand in an 11-2 win. Powell struck out 11 and walked none in 18 innings of work.
