EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Megan Gurski of the University of Evansville softball team was named to the 2014 Blues City Classic All-Tournament Second Team, after a strong weekend both in the circle and at the plate.
Gurski was the lone Purple Ace to be selected to either tournament team, after Evansville finished fifth in the tournament with a 3-2 record.
The Saskatchewan native had a batting average of .412, starting all five games for the Aces while scoring two runs on seven hits.
In the circle, Gurski finished the tournament with a 2-1 record, an ERA of 2.50, and 19 strikeouts in 14.0 innings.
