Jessica Plemmons C-USA Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas – Senior right-handers Aimee Creger of Tulsa and Leigh Streetman of UAB have been named C-USA Co-Pitchers of the Week after dominant pitching performances over the weekend. Charlotte sophomore outfielder Jessica Plemmons claims Player of the Week accolades after hitting .650 (13-20) with four doubles, two home runs and 13 RBI last week.

Player of the Week – Jessica Plemmons, Charlotte, So., OF, Lexington, N.C.

Plemmons hit .650 going 13-20 from the plate with four doubles, two home runs and tallied 13 RBI last week. She led the Niners to a 4-3 win over Elon with a two-run homer and picked up 3 RBI. During the 49er Invitational, Plemmons hit .706 (12-17) with four doubles, a home run and 10 RBI. The sophomore helped the Niners defeat the Flames twice, going 4-for-5 with five RBI and a double. Plemmons paced the Niners in an extra innings loss, hitting 3-for-5 with two RBI and a double. The outfielder went a perfect 5-for-5 with 3 RBI and two doubles in a win against Georgetown, helping the Niners to a 4-2 record and a runner-up finish in the tournament. For her efforts, Plemmons named Most Valuable Hitter of the 49er Invitational. This is the first C-USA Player of the Week honor of Plemmons’ career.
