BIG EAST Player of the Week
Nicole Pihl, DePaul, So., 1B
The Blue Demons traveled to the Arlington Invitational for a four-game weekend with Pihl sparking the offense. DePaul went 3-1 thanks in part to the sophomore’s .583 clip from the plate, as Pihl went 7-of-12 with 10 runs batted in, one double and a trio of home runs. In the Blue Demons’ 7-4 win over host UT-Arlington, Pihl went 3-of-4 from the plate with five RBI and a pair of extra-base hits while scoring one run herself. For the season, the first baseman ranks third on the team with a .406 batting average, while her 15 RBI list second.
BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week

In a snow-shortened weekend, Whitney was credited with a complete-game win over Northern Colorado on Friday, striking out 10 and allowing just one earned run over seven innings. The junior walked just one batter and surrendered just three hits in what was her fourth win of the season, tied for most among all BIG EAST pitchers.
