High School and Club Players of the Week: Daisy Page and Campbell Kline

Daisy Page

East Anchorage HS, AK

Committed: Mississippi Valley State University 2019

The combination right-handed pitcher and shortstop stands 5’9” and had led the East Anchorage to a 28-0 season as well as a Class 4A state tournament appearance. Page was 18-0 with a 0.67 ERA in the circle through 28 games, striking out 120 batters and just three walks through her 84 innings. Page hit .726 with 10 home runs, 53 RBI, and a 1.384 slugging percentage. Page also completed a perfect game last spring in leading the team to the Cook Inlet Conference title and was named the 2015-16 Gatorade Alaska Softball Player of the Year.

Campbell Kline

Severna Park HS, MD

Committed: University of Maryland 2019

A .750 batting average with 12 doubles, six triples, eight home runs, 53 runs scored, 39 runs batted in and a 1.272 slugging percentage. This junior is not someone to mess with. She broke a state-record having 69 hits with 24 multi-hit games, and her 148 career hits is just 18 short of the state record. Kline carries a 32-game-hit streak and has been hitless only six times in her high school career. She was also named the 2017 Anne Arundel County Player of the Year.
