14U Premier

Pools and Brackets

Always giving the team’s they face a challenge, the OC Batbusters Campbell squad returns to the 14U bracket. Determined to reverse a one-run loss in the 2017 championship, the Batbusters are looking to make a run all the way this season. Some key players to watch on this team are Micaela “Lala” Macario (Oregon), Jocey Erickson (Oklahoma), and Reagan Walsh (Florida). The Batbusters Campbell are also very versatile with their pitching staff, giving them plenty of options to pick the best pitcher for the job.

Last year, the Firecrackers Brashear/Oakes defeated the Birmingham Thunderbolts to win the 14U Platinum Championship 8-1. Top players to watch on this Firecracker squad are Kellcie Adams, Liliana Thomas, Savannah Coyle, and Rileigh Youngquist.  Also providing a lot of talent is the team’s only commit, attending the University of Maryland, Kamryn Davis.

The So Cal Choppers Fausett out of Valencia doesn’t have to travel too far to showcase their abilities at this well-known tournament. Ready to display their skills once again, pitchers Olivia Kam, Alyssa Ramirez, Desiree Smith, and Cassandra Torres all share time in the circle.

16U Premier

Pools and Brackets

In the 16U Premier Championship from last year, the Beverly Bandits Tyrrell come in as returning champs. Defeating the Athletics Mercado/Smith last year, the Beverly Bandits are the team to beat. With their entire squad committed to colleges, they have talent all around their line-up. With a couple of aces in the circle both going to the University of Illinois, Regan Krause and Morgan Scivally look to take control of the games. Other Beverly Bandits players to watch are Stormy Kotzelnick (Washington), Hallie Wacaser (FSU), and Bailey Dowling (Alabama).

The Athletics Mercado look to exchange last year’s silver for this year’s gold. Only scoring one run in the final game of the 2017 16U Premier Championship, the Athletics Mercado have been busy at tournaments and improving every day. Raylene Roybal (Biola) looks to dominate in the circle while Janae Hernandez (McNeese) and Berkeley Quinn (UCR) help out with the bats. Learning from their past experiences at the PGF, the Athletics Mercado may give the Beverly Bandits a challenge for the top spot this year.

The Firecrackers Utah Rollins return as the 2017 16U Platinum Champions. Having a well-known name such as the Firecrackers in front of your jersey means they expect to perform well as a team. Chipping away at last year’s Championship in the Platinum division, the Firecrackers Utah scored at least one run in the first four innings to overcome Birmingham Thunderbolts Dorsett 7-4. Jazmyn Rollin (Utah) and Keisha White are outstanding all-around players for the Firecrackers.

With more exceptional teams returning, competition is at an all-time high in the second week of PGF Nationals. So. Cal Athletics Briggs, Huntsville Sparks Elite Stewart, and Firecrackers Brashear are the other 16U teams returning for another shot at the Championship.
