PA Rebellion defeats USSSA Pride after late game two-run blast, 6-3

PA Rebellion outlasted USSSA Pride on Monday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 6-3 win at Hanover, MD.

PA Rebellion pulled out the win thanks to a strong sixth inning. PA Rebellion scored on a two-run home run by Angeline Quiocho off Jordan Taylor, scoringLauren Lappin.

Angeline racked up two RBIs on two hits for PA Rebellion.

Kristyn Sandberg racked up two RBIs on two hits for USSSA Pride. She homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Sarah Pauly got the win in relief for PA Rebellion. Sarah pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed no runs.

Jordan was charged with the loss. She lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.

The top of the first saw PA Rebellion take an early lead, 2-0. Jenn Sallingsingled to start things off before Bianca Mejia tripled, bringing home Jenn. PA Rebellion then tacked on more runs when Mejia scored on an RBI single by BB Bates.

USSSA Pride answered PA Rebellion’s top inning with two runs of its own in the first. USSSA Pride scored on a two-run home run by Kristyn.

PA Rebellion went up for the duration of the game after the sixth inning. Additional runs came from a solo home run by Courtney Liddle.
