USSSA Pride takes early lead on passed ball, holds on for 6-2 win over PA Rebellion

Three first-inning runs helped USSSA Pride to a 6-2 win over PA Rebellion at Washington, PA on Thursday.

USSSA Pride scored in the first on a passed ball, , and an RBI double by Kelly Kretschman.

Sharonda McDonald paced USSSA Pride at the plate. Sharonda went 3-4 and scored two runs. She singled in the first, second, and fourth innings.

Olivia Galati was a workhorse in the circle while bagging the win for USSSA Pride. Olivia allowed no earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Sarah Pauly was the game’s losing pitcher. She allowed six runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out six.

USSSA Pride increased its lead with two runs in the second. Caitlin Lowesingled, plating Sharonda to start the inning. That was followed up by GiOnna DiSalvatore‘s double, scoring Caitlin.

Two runs in the bottom of the second helped PA Rebellion close its deficit to 5-2. A two-run single by Mandy Ogle triggered PA Rebellion’s comeback.Angeline Quiocho to end the PA Rebellion threat.
