Aubree Munro Talks, World Championship, 2020 Olympics and Catching Multiple Pitchers

On this edition of In The Circle, Eric Lopez talks with Team USA catcher Aubree Munro about Team USA winning the World Championships against Japan and qualifying for the Summer Olympics in 2020.

Munro, in this exclusive interview, talks about what it was like to be part of the World Championship team and knowing that spot in the 2020 Summer Olympics was at stake. Munro tells us what it was like coming from behind to beat Japan twice including the gold medal game when the United States came back from a 6-4 deficit in the bottom of the 10th to win 7-6. She breaks down the inning and her at-bat with two outs that tied the game at six before Kelsey Stewart won it.

We also discuss the adjustments a catcher has to make when catching so many different pitchers in a game like Munro did in the Gold medal game.

Also on this episode, Eric and Victor discuss the head coaching hire at Kansas, and a great assistant coaching hire at Marshall.
