In the Circle: Heather Tarr, Washington Softball and more
On this edition of In The Circle, we are joined by Washington’s Head Coach Heather Tarr. Coach Tarr discusses the Huskies upcoming 2018 season which will be led by pitcher Taran Alvelo who led the Pac 12 in wins with 35 and by catcher Morganne Flores who led Huskies with 74 runs batted in in 2017 which was most by any Huskie since Jaime Clark drove in 75 runs in 2002.
Tarr talks about her team that is coming off a 50-14 season in 2017 ending up as one of the final four teams at Oklahoma City. Coach also discussed Sis Bates making Team USA Softball roster and the success that Huskies players have had in international competition.
We also talk about the 2009 National Championship and what influenced Tarr to go into coaching. Tarr has been the Head Coach at Washington since July 6, 2004. She also played for Huskies from 1994-1997.
