Dr. Megan Turk Talks Softball and Broadcasting, WCWS Preview
On this edition of In The Circle, Victor reports from Oklahoma City as the 2019 Women’s College World Series kicks off. Eric Lopez is joined by former Baylor Bear and current broadcaster Dr. Megan Turk. Megan recaps the DIII World Series won by Texas Lutheran, her time at the Women College World Series as a player in 2011, what she thinks the keys are to Women College World Series this year and how she got into broadcasting.
Victor comes back in and talks about the four match-ups on Thursday including sound from all eight head coaches. We also will hear from the ESPN broadcast crews with their thoughts on the expanding coverage and popularity of the sport during their available time on Wednesday. Victor wraps up with another former Power 5 player transferring out west and thoughts on the NFCA All-American teams.
