Some coaches have to focus on what their lineup will look like during Fall Ball. Our guest on our latest episode of In The Circle had to handle much more essential matters. On this episode, we hear from FGCU Head Coach David Derios in his first extensive interview since Hurricane Ian struck Southwest Florida nearly two weeks ago. Coach Derios walks through with Eric Lopez, the timeline of this team from getting ready for Fall Ball to preparing for Hurricane Ian and everything in between. Coach also talks about the recovery prospects and how the campus has served the Fort Myers community in the aftermath. He also talks about adjusting to 14 newcomers to the team, a new coaching staff, and getting ready to get back to the softball field in 2023.
