Lisa Fernandez on 2019 Bruins, Coaching and the Olympics
On this edition of In The Circle, we are joined by UCLA assistant coach and four-time All-American Lisa Fernandez. Fernadez offers her outlook for the 2019 Bruins who are led by 2018 College Softball player of the year Rachel Garcia. She also talks about what kind of impact Bubba Nickles and Aliyah Jordan have had on the program. Fernandez compared her coaching career to her playing career and what Softball being back in the Olympics means. She was part of the U.S. National team winning gold at the Olympic games in 1996, 2000 and 2004. We end the interview talking about what it is like working with Bruins Head Coach Kelly Inouye-Perez.
