On this edition of In The Circle, Eric and Victor discuss the Oregon hiring of longtime Oklahoma Assistant coach Melyssa Lombardi. Eric talks with John McKelvey of the Norman Transcript about why after 21 seasons Lombardi decided that now would be the time to pursue a Head Coaching position. McKelvey discussed the impact Lombardi made on the Oklahoma program and what she brings to Oregon. We then discuss what options Patty Gasso has in bringing in a new pitching coach and if the coach has to have ties to the program.
We wrap up with Fastpitch News’s Lauren Hachey who talks about the upcoming USSSA Elite Select World Championships and more in the Club softball world.
