The first game of conference play did not disappoint as Auburn beat LSU 5-4 in a back-and-forth contest.  Haley Fagan extended her on-base streak to 21 games and her hitting streak to 20.  She was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and one RBI.  Kendall Veach’s two RBI tied the game in the third and again in the fifth. The game-winning run came in the bottom of the fifth when LSU’s Constance Quinn bobbled a chopper hit by Morgan Podany allowing Courtney Shea to score from third. Kaylee Carlson got the win in the circle for Auburn, improving her record to 12-0.
