Fastpitch News has released its February 14, 2017. Players of the week awards for the NJCAA. This is the first week of the awards. Moving forward we do except weekly nominations. Marcella McKinney

Freshman Marcella McKinney of Grayson Community College is coming off a strong week. Last week she went 14-21 (.666 BA) with six home runs and 20 RBI. In one game against Mountain View, McKinney hit three home runs with seven RBI and three runs scored. The Broken Arrow, OK native is off to a fast start this season.

Krystal Goodman

Freshman Krsytal Goodman, a Long Beach, MS native, was impressive last week going 3-0 in the circle. During those three games, she struck out 21 over 19 innings posting a 0.70 ERA. That brings her overall record to 7-0 on the young season. Also, she allowed just 11 hits all week.
