Abbott got the win for Chicago Bandits thanks to nine strikeouts. Abbott allowed one earned run on two hits and two walks over seven innings.
Chicago Bandits would not relinquish the lead as PA Rebellion was unable to weather a two-run first inning deficit.
PA Rebellion scored one run in the third on a groundout by Bianca Mejia. Despite its efforts, PA Rebellion couldn’t finish the comeback.
Kristen Butler racked up two RBIs on one hit for Chicago Bandits. She homered in the first inning.
Sarah Pauly was charged with the loss. She lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
