Kristen Butler’s walk-off sacrifice fly send Chicago Bandits home winners, 3-2

A walk-off sacrifice fly from Kristen Butler brought home the winning run for Chicago Bandits in a 3-2 victory over PA Rebellion at Rosemont, IL on Saturday.

Chicago Bandits was led by Megan Wiggins‘s hitting. Wiggins went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. She singled in the seventh inning and tripled in the ninth inning.

Michelle Gascoigne was a workhorse on the rubber for Chicago Bandits. Gascoigne pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, eight hits and one walk while striking out two.

PA Rebellion was hurt by a number of miscues in the field. PA Rebellion committed three errors which led to two unearned runs for Chicago Bandits.

Ellen Renfroe got the win in relief for Chicago Bandits. Renfroe pitched two innings and allowed no runs.

Anna Miller ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.

Neither team scored until the fourth when Chicago Bandits got on the board. Chicago Bandits scored on a fielder’s choice.

Chicago Bandits tied the game in the seventh on an RBI single by Wiggins that scored Emily Allard.
