USSSA Pride offense too much for Akron Racers in 10-1 rout

USSSA Pride shut the door early on Akron Racers, capturing a 10-1 victory on Monday at Dallas, TX.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed USSSA Pride to put the game away early.

A two-run home run by Kristyn Sandberg in the second inning supplied the early offense for USSSA Pride.

Sandberg racked up two RBIs on one hit for USSSA Pride.

Keilani Ricketts looked sharp on the rubber. Akron Racers managed just one hit off of Ricketts, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during her three innings of work.

Nerissa Myers got on base two times in the game for Akron Racers. She scored one run and had one RBI. She homered in the third inning.

Cat Osterman recorded the win for USSSA Pride. She allowed one run over four innings. She struck out five, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Rachele Fico took the loss for Akron Racers. She allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.

USSSA Pride scored four runs of its own in the third. USSSA Pride scored on a two-run double by Bridgette DelPonte and a two-run home run by Amanda Kamekona.

USSSA Pride tacked on another four runs in the fourth. Brejae Washingtonstarted the inning with a single, plating Madison Shipman.
