Day 1 of Big 12 Media Week concludes with one of the new kids on the block; the BYU Cougars. 2023 saw BYU win a share of the West Coast Conference title and come outs away from winning the NISC crown. Head Coach Gordon Eakin shares his excitement of being in the Big 12. He also shares how his experiences of moving into different leagues will help benefit his team. Plus, we have Senior OF Maddie Bejarano share her expectations for this year and playing in her third different conference in the last three seasons (American, West Coast, Big 12). She also reflects on playing for her younger brother Tanner, who has down syndrome, and getting him to Norman for UCF’s Super Regional in 2022.
