It’s time to visit an old friend of In The Circle, Today’s episode has us in Iowa City to chat with Iowa Head Coach Renee Gillispie. After winning the NISC Tournament in 2023, Coach reflects on the experience her team gained during that postseason run. She also talks about her still relatively young roster plus what players to look out for in 2024. Coach Gillispie also discusses her coaching staff and their role in getting the Hawkeyes ready to compete for an NCAA tournament bid.
After the interview, Victor shares his thoughts on the Hawkeyes and the difference pitching coach Mandy Gardner made in her first season on the staff. Victor also answers a question Hawkeye fans asked Eric about if he’ll call Iowa Softball again in 2024. Then, are the Big Ten REALLY considering taking away this year’s conference tournament from Iowa because of…FIELD TURF? Eric has some thoughts and a conspiracy theory as to why that might happen.
