2015 SEC Softball Awards

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southeastern Conference announced its annual softball awards to cap the 2015 season and kick off the SEC Softball Tournament in Baton Rouge, La., May 6-9. The All-SEC Teams consist of 27 total student-athletes, along with a 14-member All-Freshman team and a 10-member All-Defensive Team. No ties were broken.

Kelsey Stewart of Florida was named Player of the Year, while teammate Lauren Haeger earned Pitcher of the Year honors. Freshman of the Year honors went to Alexis Osorio of Alabama, while Haylie McCleney of Alabama and Devon Wallace of Arkansas share the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award. Clint Myers of Auburn was selected as Coach of the Year. The awards were voted on by the league’s head coaches.
