PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced winners of the league’s weekly softball honors for games ending Mar. 1.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cierra Mangum * 3B * Jr. * Memphis
Mangum had an RBI in each game last week, tallied four hits and led Memphis with four RBIs during a 3-0 week at the Cowgirl Classic in Lake Charles, La. The junior hit .500 over the weekend with four walks and recorded her fourth double of the season against Texas Tech. In a 3-2 comeback win over host McNeese State, Mangum plated the first run of the game and later scored the game-winning run on a single from Brooke Lee.

Mackenzie Audas * Sr. * UCF
Audas went 2-0 over the weekend and tossed six innings without a hit in a 2-0 win over LIU on Sunday. She earned her seventh win in the circle this season and is a perfect 7-0 in 46.0 innings this year. In the 3-2 win over Iowa, she pitched her fourth game with 10 or more strikeouts, finishing with 11 Ks on the day. Audas finished with 19 total strikeouts and a 1.08 ERA in 13 innings of action last week.
