GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – NC State outfielder Tyler Ross has been named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week, while Florida State’s Lacey Waldrop earned ACC Pitcher of the Week honors.

Ross recorded her first career multi-home run game on Sunday against Notre Dame with a 3-for-4 outing at the plate with four RBI. She homered in the second inning and again in the fifth inning. On Saturday, she gave NC State a 4-2 lead with a solo home run. Ross had a two-run double in the second game to help the Wolfpack extend its lead in the contest.

Waldrop recorded her third no-hitter of the season and the seventh of her career as the senior pitcher was nearly perfect in her two appearances at the FAU Parents’ Weekend Tournament in Boca Raton, Fla. The Chester, Virginia native posted a 2-0 record with a 0.00 ERA over 12.0 innings, allowing two total walks and recording 14 strikeouts. Waldrop retired 15 of the 16 batters she faced versus Coastal Carolina on her way to a no-hitter, surrendering just one walk in the top of the fifth inning. The following day, she only allowed four baserunners to Florida Atlantic, registering 10 strikeouts in a 7.0-inning complete-game shutout of the Owls. Waldrop allowed an opposing batting average of just .054 and has not surrendered an earned run in her last 27.1 innings dating back to UCLA on February 21, 2015.
