Brooke Bollinger Transfers

Brooke Bollinger transfers to the University of Texas and adds depth to their pitching staff. Bollinger completed her freshman season at the University of Nevada and has decided to continue her softball career at Texas.

Bollinger was a highly sought after recruit coming out of high school. The Yucaipa, CA native turned down offers from numerous power schools such as Florida State, Oregon, LSU, Michigan, Cal and Oklahoma to play at Nevada. In high school she compiled a school record 961 strikeouts and 86 wins. In the summers she played for the national power club Corona Angels.

As a freshman at Nevada Bollinger was named First Team All-Mountain West and to the NFCA All-West Region Third Team. On the season she went 16-6 with a 2.81 ERA and 118 strikeouts in 161.2 innings pitched. Bollinger led the Mountain West in opponent’s batting average, and ranked second in ERA, strikeouts and wins.
