IRVING, Texas – Following another dominant performance in a complete-game four-hit shutout on the road at Marshall, Florida Atlantic’s Kylee Hanson earned Conference USA Pitcher of the Week honors for the second consecutive week. UTSA’s Randee Crawford landed the C-USA Player of the Week award after she spearheaded the attack for the Roadrunners offensively in the sweep of UTEP. The sophomore ambushed the Miners with eight RBI in nine at-bats along with two bombs and a 1.222 slugging percentage.

RANDEE CRAWFORD, UTSA | SO., LIVINGSTON, TEXAS
Crawford led UTSA to a three-game sweep of UTEP last week as she went 5-for-9 (.556) with two home runs and eight RBI. The Livingston, Texas, native registered a .600 on-base percentage with at least one hit and one RBI in all three games of the series. She helped the Roadrunners’ comeback in game two with a two-RBI single that tied the game in the fifth frame before her walk-off RBI hit in the bottom of the seventh. In Sunday’s series finale, Crawford recorded her second multi-homer game in C-USA action to lead UTSA to a run-rule victory over the Miners. Both blasts were two-run bombs to tie teammate Megan Low for the league lead while she pushed her conference-leading RBI total to 56. This if the first C-USA weekly award in Crawford’s career.

The sophomore has been an unstoppable force of late and threw a complete-game, four-hit shutout in a 3-0 win over Marshall Saturday. With the win, the Sunshine State native extended her personal shutout streak to 20 innings and has permitted a mere nine hits during that span. Of the nine hits, only two have been for extra bases. On the year, Hanson has a 13-3 record with a 1.69 ERA. This is her second C-USA weekly honor and the third of her career.
