IRVING, Texas – WKU’s Miranda Kramer earned her fourth consecutive C-USA Pitcher of the Week award and fifth of the season after tossing a pair of complete-game victories against C-USA East Division foe Florida Atlantic. With her 28 strikeouts over the past week, Kramer now has exactly 1,000 Ks in her collegiate career, good for tops among active players in the NCAA. Marshall’s Elicia D’Orazio was a jack of all trades for the Herd during their 4-0 week. The freshman posted a .700 batting average while playing a part in 10 runs scored and sprinkling in three stolen bases for Marshall.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
MIRANDA KRAMER, WKU | SR., WEST BURLINGTON, IOWA
Kramer led WKU in the circle over the weekend, notching two wins to take the series over Florida Atlantic. The senior pitched 14 innings, dealing out 28 strikeouts, three walks and just one run over nine hits allowed. Kramer held the Owls to a .188 batting average. Notching win No. 14 of the season in the series finale, Kramer notched double-digit strikeouts in both contests, as she has double-digit strikeouts in 16 games this season, including the last 14 starts. After her weekend total, the NCAA active career strikeout leader now has 1,000 in her collegiate career. It is Kramer’s fifth C-USA Pitcher of the Week honor on the year and in the ace’s career.

In the final game of the North Texas series, D’Orazio was 2-3 with five RBI. She also had a .692 on-base percentage and a .800 slugging percentage on the week.
