IRVING, Texas – Florida Atlantic’s Kylee Hanson earned Conference USA Co-Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing an 18-strikeout no-hitter against Charlotte. Also earning co-pitcher of the week accolades was WKU’s Miranda Kramer, who earned her fifth C-USA weekly award and sixth of the season after recording a pair of complete-game victories and a 3-0 record to become the WKU single-season strikeout leader with 271. UTEP’s Kawehiokalani Netane exploded offensively over the past week, helping propel the Miners to a sweep of FIU. The junior also recorded three RBI and a homer against a ranked Arizona State squad in a midweek matchup with the Sun Devils.

CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEK
KYLEE HANSON, FLORIDA ATLANTIC | SO., JUPITER, FLORIDA
Hanson led Florida Atlantic in the circle last week, making three appearances. The sophomore pitched 10 innings, dealing out two strikeouts, three walks and no earned runs. Hanson held Kentucky scoreless in three innings pitched while making appearances in both games of the doubleheader. She capped the week by throwing the 24th no-hitter in program history on Saturday night. It was the first of her career as she fanned a career-high 18 batters in the process. It is the first C-USA weekly honor for Hanson and the second of her career (April 14, 2014).

CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEK
MIRANDA KRAMER, WKU | SR., WEST BURLINGTON, IOWA
Kramer made history over the week, as her 36 strikeouts led her to become WKU’s single-season strikeout leader with 271 this year. Kramer recorded double-digit strikeouts in each of her three wins, even in WKU’s five-inning win in the series finale versus Southern Miss. The senior now has double-figure strikeouts in 19 games this season, including her last 17 starts. Kramer held last week’s opponents to a .138 batting average with nine hits and one earned run for a 0.37 ERA, sending her season ERA to 0.91. It is the sixth C-USA Pitcher of the Week award for Kramer in 2015.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KAWEHIOKALANI NETANE, UTEP | JR., ORLANDO, FLORIDA
Netane batted .385 (5-for-13) with two home runs, eight RBI, and five runs scored during UTEP’s five games this past week. Against No. 19 Arizona State, Netane blasted a three-run jack to help the Miners rally late to get within a few runs of the Sun Devils. Over the weekend against a streaking FIU squad, the junior hit .444 (4-for-9) with a long ball and five RBI. The Florida native accounted for all of UTEP’s runs during the 3-2 game one win over FIU – going 1-for-3 with a two-run shot and a sac fly. Netane chipped in during the series finale with a pair of RBI during the Miners’ eight-run fourth inning to help put the Panthers away 9-1 in five frames to complete the weekend sweep. Netane’s .405 average is ranked seventh in C-USA, while her .500 batting average in league games is ranked third in conference. It is the first C-USA weekly award in Netane’s career.
