RICHMOND, Va. (April 6, 2015) – College of Charleston senior Mackenzie Maples and Drexel senior Sylvia Llamas were honored by the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) on Monday as the softball Players of the Week, while Towson senior Missy McCormick was tabbed Pitcher of the Week and Delaware freshman Mariah Kondravy was named Rookie of the Week.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK:
Mackenzie Maples • College of Charleston
Sr. | C | Corona, Calif./Centennial

-Led the Cougars offensively over a 2-2 week, batting .500 (6-for-12).

-Drove in six runs to go along with two runs scored, one home run, one double, two walks and a stolen base.
-In a doubleheader sweep of Delaware on Saturday, accounted for four hits and four RBI to help CofC take the conference series.
Sylvia Llamas • Drexel
Sr. | 3B | San Jose, Calif./Archbishop Mitty

-Consistent force at the plate over Drexel’s 3-1 showing last week which included the team’s first CAA series win of the year against UNCW.

-Went 7-for-11 (.636) with three RBI and four runs in all.
-In a doubleheader split with the Seahawks on Saturday, added a 6-for-7 effort from the plate with a stolen base and a double.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
Missy McCormick • Towson
Sr. | P/OF | Las Vegas, Nev./Palo Verde

-Picked up her first weekly CAA honor of the season (fourth of career) after a perfect 3-0 week in the circle.

-Earned win over George Mason, a 1-0 complete game shutout, as well as two more victories over the weekend against conference foe Elon.
-Tossed a total of 21 innings, allowing just two earned runs and two walks while striking out 25 batters. Also credited with a 0.67 ERA.
-Against Mason and the Phoenix on Saturday, twice tied her season-high with 10 strikeouts.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:

Mariah Kondravy • Delaware
Fr. | 1B | Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty

-Had a stellar week for the Blue Hens, pacing her team with seven hits (.412 average), five runs scored, four home runs and eight RBI.

-Impressively had a hit and an RBI in all five games last week as UD went 3-2.
-Kicked off the week in a doubleheader against Rider with a pair of two-run homers and then smacked solo homers in the Hens’ next two games at the College of Charleston.
-Four consecutive games with a home run is believed to be a new program record.
