IRVING, Texas – WKU’s Miranda Kramer earned her third consecutive C-USA Pitcher of the Week award and her fourth of the season following a dominant 31-strikeout performance over the course of three games at North Texas. UTEP’s Ashley Eldridge won her second C-USA Player of the Week honor of the season after popping a grand slam against Southern Miss, which highlighted a seven-RBI weekend for the senior out of Las Vegas, Nevada.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
MIRANDA KRAMER, WKU | SR., WEST BURLINGTON, IOWA
Kramer was stellar in the circle for WKU, pitching 21 innings with 47 strikeouts, 0.33 ERA and 3-0 record. The strikeout hurler continued to rack up the Ks, reaching double-digit strikeouts in each of her three starts. After fanning 16 batters at Lipscomb, Kramer threw 14 innings with 31 strikeouts at North Texas while holding the Mean Green to a 0.47 batting average with two hits allowed. For the week, opponents hit .075 at the plate with five hits in 67 official at-bats. It is the fourth C-USA Pitcher of the Week honor on the year and in Kramer’s career.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ASHLEY ELDRIDGE, UTEP | SR., LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
Eldridge’s numbers helped the Miners win two of three games against league foe Southern Miss. The senior outfielder hit .667 (8-for-12) with a pair of home runs, six runs scored and seven RBI. Eldridge connected on a grand slam – the second of her career – as the Miners took a 4-2 lead over the Golden Eagles in the third inning of the first game in which UTEP won 7-5. She produced another home run, a solo shot, in game two. Eldridge followed with a career-high four hits during UTEP’s 10-4 win in the series finale. The Las Vegas native finished 4-for-4 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored. Eldridge also tallied a couple assists from right field – the first was in game one as she threw out a runner at third, while the second came during the second game where she threw out a runner at home. Eldridge has been hot during league play as she is batting .484 (15-for-31) with five home runs, 11 runs scored and 17 RBI in nine games. It is the second C-USA Player of the Week award this season for Eldridge.
