Riverside—UC Riverside Head Softball Coach Linda Garza announced today that Oklahoma State transfer Erika Campbell has signed with the program for the 2015 season.

“Erika is a great addition to the UCR family,” Garza exclaimed. “She has been a part of championship programs during her travel ball days, and while in high school. She is a fierce competitor, comes from a winning background, and will raise the bar of competition day in and day out.

“We are working every year to climb to the top of the Big West, and with the addition of Ms. Campbell, are a step closer.”

Campbell played softball for the Cowgirls in 2013, seeing action in 42 games as OSU posted a 30-26 overall record while finishing fifth in the Big 12 Conference.

The Cypress, CA native prepped at Pacifica High School where she was named a second-team All-State Outfield as a senior in 2012 by ESPNHS. Campbell was also a three-time All-Empire League selection and was the offensive MVP in 2010.

She batted .473 as a senior, compiled a .648 slugging percentage and a .538 on-base percentage. Campbell led her team to three-consecutive Empire League championships (2010, 2011, 2012), and was a member of the Victory USA travel team which won ASA National Championships in 2007 and 2009.
