Where will the Sooners be seeded? Recent seeding of Oklahoma has been a debate over the last few years. The committee has, in our opinion,  seeded the Sooners lower than they should be in recent years. It is as if the committee is looking at what the numbers say more then the eyeball test.  The eyeball test says the Sooners are easily a top-four seed. But will the committee once again drop Oklahoma in the seeding due to lack of wins against the top 50 compared to other host sites?

The other question is, will Alabama host?  The Crimson Tide have always hosted a regional. This year they are on the fence with a tough schedule remaining. Here is the breakdown as to how I see it currently.

Host Projections | Record vs. Top 50

  1. Washington (20-2)
  2. Oklahoma (10-1)
  3. Oregon (22-7)
  4. UCLA (18-2)
  5. Florida (18-5)
  6. Arizona State (16-6)
  7. Florida State (12-4)
  8. Georgia (16-5)
  9. Tennessee (16-7)
  10. Texas A&M (17-9)
  11. South Carolina (13-9)
  12. Arizona (13-12)
  13. LSU (11-9)
  14. Auburn (14-10)
  15. Arkansas (9-8)
  16. Alabama (8-13)

In The Mix to Host

  1. Mississippi State (10-10)
  2. Oklahoma State (9-8)
  3. Oregon State (7-16)
  4. Michigan (6-5)
