Sara Borders, IF, Sr., 5-8, Alexandria, Ala. – Jacksonville State
Borders hit safely in all four of Jacksonville State’s games last week, including homering in three of the four contests. She started the weekend going 2-for-3 against Wright State with a double and a homer. She followed that up with a 2-for-4 game against Iona that also included a homer and four RBI. Borders drove in three runs in a 3-for-3 effort in the second game versus Wright State. She finished the week with four runs scored and nine RBI.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
Haley Chambers, P, Jr., 5-7, Coatesville, Ind. – SIUE
Chambers improved to 9-2 overall with three wins at the USF Under Armour Challenge. She tossed a two-hit shutout and struck out 11 in the win over Bowling Green to close out the tourney. She set a new career-high with 15 strikeouts versus North Florida. Chambers picked up a victory over Villanova after allowing three hits over four innings of work. She posted double-digit strikeouts twice during the week and for the fourth and fifth time this season. She recorded an 8-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Opponents batted .179 against Chambers.
